George Girges was appointed to the eldership at the end of 2012, having already served in small groups, on the Foundational Beliefs Course, as an usher, in men's ministry, and as a counselor.

He has been in Germany since 1991 and originally comes from Cairo, Egypt. He is married to Anne, who has been part of the Arche Team for many years, and they have two children.

He has been working full-time at the Ark since the beginning of 2021 and heads the ministry with senior adults and internationals.

In his free time, he enjoys playing table tennis and cycling with men from the Ark. He likes to spend his vacations by the sea.
