Markus Kniesel has been in pastoral ministry since March 2010. In 2011, he went to the USA with his family to study theology at a pastors' college.

Since November 2012, he has also been a member of the Elders' Team and the Financial Board of the Ark (Arche?). His focus is on theological teaching, biblical counseling, and the finances of the church. Before joining the Arche, Markus worked as a lawyer and later as a facility manager in central purchasing at Jungheinrich AG in Hamburg.

He leads the Arche Pastors' College, which was founded in 2014, with his wife, Kati, who supports the students’ wives.

Markus and Kati have six children, including a foster child, and love spending time as a family. Markus is also passionate about reading his Bible and reformed theology and enjoys soccer in his spare time.
